First tshirt blanket for sale!

Here is the first tshirt blanket I made for a customer. The girl I made it for was awesome and totally trusted me, which I really appreciated. This is what a blanket will look like if you order one, at least more like this than the other tshirt blanket I made. If you are interested just let me know.

Interested?

So I have now decided, due to a lot of interest, to make and sell customized t-shirt blankets. I am in the process of making my second one for a girl whom I never met before she contacted me. I will post pictures of that one as soon as I am done, but it is pretty exciting! So if you are interested let me know and we will see if I can help you out with preserving your memories (and your t-shirts) with a special blanket you can have for years. Feel free to email me if you want more information or have any questions about anything (that includes the baby blankets as well!).

Girly baby blanket

Hooray! I finished my first girly baby blanket! This one gave me tons of trouble in the beginning but it was totally worth it because it is so cute! If I have a little girl somewhere down the road she is going to for sure get a blanket just like this one. I don't have anyone to give this to, though, so if you are interested in purchasing it let me know. Or if you want one that is custom colors (only red hearts or something like that) I will be happy to make you one. This one costs $100. Enjoy!

For sale!

Here is the first baby blanket I have made that is not for someone I know. It is hopefully going to be sold at an arts and crafts fair (or off this website?) for about $70. That sounds like a lot but it is all made by hand(or sewing machine as the case may be)and really good quality, so not only do the materials cost money but my time too (though if I charged for all my time I know for sure the blankets would be WAY too expensive). If you are interested let me know and I hope you enjoy looking through what I have made.

Branching out

I've decided to branch out! With the help of my cousin I am going to start baby blankets for anyone to buy at Arts & Crafts fairs. I have no idea if people will even be interested but I figure I would give it a shot. She came to me with the idea and thought we could try to sell our stuff together (she sells way more things than I do and she is very talented. p.s. I am liked to her blog... the fiber one). We will see if people actually want them but if they do then that would make me pretty happy! So, if you are interested let me know because I am officially open for business!

T-Shirt blanket

So, this blanket was quite a challenge. A friend of mine wanted to turn her old t-shirts into a blanket, something I have never done before, so she just brought them over, cut them out, and we started putting them together. It was really hard to get an exact fit so we had to improvise once we actually started sewing, but I think it turned out OK. I know how to do it next time much more quickly and easily, and it might look a little better. Luckily she was a great, not picky customer and we had fun working on it together.

Making dresses is hard!

Ok, so making dresses and making quilts are nothing alike. I think I am pretty good at making quilts, so I decided to make myself a dress before a wedding I am going to in August. Well, this dress is giving me fits. I don't fit into one size on the pattern, so I have to fake it to get the size right. And even then it doesn't fit in random places (the inside of my shoulder, my theighs, etc.) and I don't really know how to fix it. Grr, it is so frustrating! The pattern claims it is easy but I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I wish the pattern wouldn't assume I already know what I am doing but explain everything in great detail. If I didn't have my mother-in-law's help I wouldn't have even made it this far. Anyway, hopefully I will finish it before the wedding I am going to or else I am just going to have to wear an old boring dress that I have had for a long time. Wish me luck! I will put a picture up once I get it figured out (with more help most likely...).

Easiest dress ever!

So this could be the easiest dress ever made, but I still made it! All I did was sew the seem to make it the right size and sew the hem. Like I said, the easiest ever! It looks super cute on Holley though! Oh, and not only was it easy, but super cheap. Let me know if you want one ;-) (Sorry the picture is crooked...)
